US anti-Semitism Watch

Max Blumenthal writes about the US Christian right and its crumbling relationship with Israel here. It seems that the Christian right in the US is happy to indulge in anti-semitic slurs when Israelis aren't following their line. You have to wonder how many more people involved in these groups and organisations who seem so heavily 'pro-Israel' are indeed anti-semites, who are using Jews for their own ends. Max ends his piece by hitting the nail squarely on the head.

Though Goodenough tries to afford himself a degree of plausible deniability by using the international community as his surrogate for calling Israelis "not-to-be-trusted Yids," his point is clear: If Israel is not useful to rapture-ready evangelicals, it might as well not exist.
