Death of a Bus

This is fantastic piece by Johann Hari about the proposed abolition of the London Routemaster and it's implications on disabled people. My grandfather is now wheelchair bound after losing a leg and through him I've seen the world in a different way as well. Especially small things like lowered kerbs, electric doors and supermarket aisles. Again, Johann Harri nails the point to the mast that while the passing of the classic Routemaster (for Americans and non-Brits its the old London red bus) may anger a lot of people, the fact that a significant minority of people can't even get on them makes them old fashioned and seriously flawed.
